Take a photo of a textbook page or your handwritten notes, and Mindmapi.ai reads it and builds a clear, editable mind map. Free to try, nothing to download.
Some of the best revision material is on paper: a page of class notes, a worksheet, a chapter of a textbook you can't copy and paste from. Typing it all out takes longer than revising it. With Mindmapi.ai you take a photo instead. AI reads the text on the page, including handwriting and the labels on diagrams, and turns it into a mind map of the topic.
You can add up to five photos to one map, one page per photo, so a whole set of notes becomes one map. The photos are read once and then deleted. What you keep is the map: every topic editable, with room for notes, highlights and pictures.
Create a new subject, choose Generate Using AI and open the Photo tab. On a phone, Take a photo opens the camera; on a computer, choose photos or drag them in. Up to five pages per map.
Each photo is read for its text, handwriting included, and any diagram is described with its labels. If a photo has no readable text, you are told, so you can retake it.
Your map is ready in about a minute. Edit it, add notes, test yourself on a branch or take an AI quiz written from it.
Neat or rushed, your own abbreviations and arrows are read along with the words. If a word is unclear, AI gives its best reading so you can check it.
A page of notes becomes a structured map in the time it takes to photograph it, so your time goes on revising rather than copying.
Add a typed note, a PDF or a web page to the same subject, and the map draws on all of them together.
Photos work on every account. The free plan gives you 3 mind maps, including 1 made with AI.
Yes. AI reads handwriting as well as printed text, including your abbreviations and the labels on diagrams. If a word is hard to read, it gives its best reading followed by a question mark so you can check it on the map.
Up to five, one page per photo. They are combined into a single map, so five pages of notes on a topic become one map of the whole topic.
Lay the page flat in good light and take the photo straight on, with the page filling most of the picture. Blurry, dark or angled photos are harder to read.
Each photo is read once to build your map and then deleted. The map and its notes are what's saved to your account.
