AI Quiz Generator: Practice Questions From Your Own Notes

Kashish MustafaBy Kashish Mustafa, Co-founder, Mindmapi· Last reviewed 28 October 2026

Mindmapi.ai writes multiple-choice questions from your own mind map and notes, so you practise exactly what you're learning. Plus Test me, for quick recall on any branch. Free to try.

Rereading notes feels productive but doesn't stick. Testing yourself does: trying to remember something is what strengthens the memory. Mindmapi.ai gives you two ways to test yourself on your own material, right from your mind map.

Quiz me writes multiple-choice questions from the topics and notes in any branch, each with a short explanation. Test me hides a branch's topics behind cards so you can recall them, check, and retest only the ones you missed. Your scores then schedule each branch for review, so you come back to it at the right time.

How it works

  1. 1

    Make or open a map

Build a map from your notes, a PDF, photos or a web page, or by hand. The quiz is written from what's in it.

  2. 2

Choose Quiz me or Test me

Open any topic's menu and choose Quiz me on this branch for multiple-choice questions, or Test me to recall the topics under it.

  3. 3

    Go over what you missed

See your score and the questions to go over, retest the cards you missed, or ask for a fresh set of questions.

Why students use Mindmapi.ai

Questions from your own notes

Not a generic question bank: every question comes from the topics and notes on your map, so you practise what you need to know.

Explanations with every answer

See straight away whether you're right, with a short explanation of why.

Recall without multiple choice

Test me hides each topic behind a card, so you have to bring it to mind yourself before you check.

Spaced review built in

Your score schedules the branch for another go: sooner if you struggled, later if you knew it.

Frequently asked questions

How does the AI quiz generator work?

Open a topic's menu on your map and choose Quiz me on this branch. AI writes multiple-choice questions from the topics and notes under it, each with an explanation. At the end you get your score and the questions to go over.

What's the difference between Quiz me and Test me?

Quiz me is multiple choice, written by AI from your notes. Test me hides the topics under a branch behind cards: you recall each one, tap to check, and mark it remembered or not yet. Both schedule the branch for spaced review.

Can I quiz myself on a whole course?

Yes. Group your lecture maps into a course and choose Course quiz to get questions across every map in it.

Is it free?

Test me is free on every account. Free accounts get 3 AI quizzes; Pro gives you unlimited quizzes.
